Dental health is very important, and should be regularly maintained. Everyone should be attending regular dental check ups. When families begin to grow, parents ask themselves “at what age should my child go to the dentist”? The answer to this is that the optimal age your child should go to the dentist is after their first birthday. This is the ideal age that your child should go to the dentist, but it is usually fine to wait until their 2nd or 3rd birthday.
This is a young age, and most parents think that their children do not need to go to the dentist as this age. Parents think that their child doesn’t need to go the dentist as this age because they still have their baby teeth. This is a common mistake because even though your child still has baby teeth, his/hers permanent teeth are starting to develop. It is important for your child to go to the dentist in order for the dentist to check that their teeth are developing well. It is also important for your child to go the dentist at a young age in order to prevent any plaque build up.
Young children can be taken to a pediatric dental office, but the most dental office will see your child too.
Here at Florence Dentistry we have patients of all ages, and we will gladly welcome any new patients. Feel free to give us a call for any further questions, and to make an appointment.
